This weekend I embarked on one of the hardest journeys I have ever been on in my life and I am so happy and proud that I was a part of it. Me and 2800 other riders got on our bikes and pushed our way to a cure for cancer. I have never pushed myself so hard to complete anything in my entire life. The pain I am in right now or went through this weekend is nothing compared to the pain that someone with cancer goes through and it really puts life into perspective for you. I saw so many people and made so many friends and each one of them was touched by this horrible disease. While on the road I had a lot of time to think about those who I know that were touched my cancer and couldn’t help thinking that they were with me during the ride. I was thinking of each and every one of the donors who helped me and how I couldn’t have made it to the finish line without them. If you come across my small blog while trying to find some news on the ride, please leave your comments or share your story. I heard so many that really touched me and I would love to hear more.

The weather was great, the food was delicious, the other riders were inspiring and the event overall was an A+ experience. I will definitely be doing this ride again and look forward to riding along with some of the same people I rode with this year. I want to thank an old friend Bruno who road with me for the last 34 km. Without his help I wouldn’t have been able to get it done and riding along with him really made the kilometers fly by.
